These are the largest bananas I have ever seen, well over a foot long. This type of banana is typically used in cooking.

The redder the color the softer the texture. Sour, tart flavor, slightly sweet.

Cost around 15-25 baht for coconut water.

Dragon fruit - pronounced jao mahn gawn in Thai
Contains a white flesh with tiny black seeds. The texture and sees are like that found in kiwi.  The flavor is mildly sweet.

crisp, slightly sweet, mild green apple-like flavor

Longsan
Sweet grapefruit flavored fruit, the texture of a grape. May contain a small black seed.



Longkong (larger than langsan)
Sweet flavor with a grape-like juicy texture.
Limes - pronounced Manoa in Thai
Sour, citrus flavor.

Lychee - Litchee
Sweet and sour, juicy grape-like texture - delicious!

Green Mango (small) - mamuang kiew
Apple-like texture with a tart, sour flavor
 Yellow Mango - Mamuang
Juice peach-like texture with a sweet, tangy peach-like flavor
Mangosteen
Season: late may-July
Mill fruit
sweet flavor with the texture of a firm pear

 Papaya - pronounced mah-lah ko in Thai
Sweet, tender fruit 

Pineapple -Sap-aro
The fruit is variable in size, mini and medium sized pineapple. The mini pineapple is very sweet and juicy. You can often buy pineapple cut and bagged for 10-12 baht.
 

 Rambutan - ng'aw
Peel the fuzzy pink and green exterior to reveal the clear flesh of the fruit.  The fruit has a grape-like texture with a almond shaped pit in the center. The flavor is sweet and juicy.
In season (June-July), the cost is about 25 baht per kilo (good price)








 Rose Apples - pronounced chumpoo in Thai
A lightly sweetened fruit, has the texture of a pepper. It is a popular fruit in Thailand. The color varies from pink to a cherry red.

 Sugar Apples - noi-nah
Watermelon (red and yellow) - Tangmo
Sweet and juicy.
